Allen family visit

Great granny, Great grandpa, and great great grandma came up from port orchard for a visit. This is my dads side of the family. Landon is the first granchild and great grandchild for my side of the family and first grandchild for kyles.

2 weeks old

Our little Landon is two weeks old. boy oh boy where has the time gone? 2 week checkup and hes 8lbs 3oz so he has gained his weight back, and is in the 50% for his weight and height. He loves to bounce and swing.. anything with constant motion makes him pretty content. He is lifting his head up more and is gaining more control of head movement. He is beginning to smile in his sleep or maybe just when he passes gas.. ;) and oh my gosh does he take after his dad in that department.STINKER!

He has visitors daily.. I can honestly say that he is probably the most loved baby of all time :)

I think he is getting used to having his picture taken, he better be anyway! Mommy had to have a 2 week old photoshoot.

Grandpa Nelke came over from spokane to visit his grandson... and Landon had his first outing to applebees although he did sleep through the whole thing.

one week old already

Landon James Nelke a week old....
everyone says time will fly by and I didn't think to much about it, but it sure does!
Hes a little more alert, but still sleeping most of the time. Everyone is amazed by how strong he is. The boy sure does have a strong grip and strong kicks although I do remember those strong kicks in the middle of the night especially the ones the hit the bladder!

Sunday Feb. 28th time to go home! I was thrilled!!! That hospital bed would have killed me if I had to lay in it for one more minute. I think Landon and daddy were ready also.

couple days old... adjusting well to home life. Very easy baby he is. Only cries when he wants something and is sleeping pretty well at night. 1st doctors appointment said he was 7 lbs 5 oz and had a touch of jaundice, but not to worry that it will fade on its own.


we love to watch him sleep. very sweet boy he is.

Introducing Landon James Nelke

Well, our little man decided to come in this world a little sooner than expected. My blood pressure had been elevated for a week or so. Doctor told me to go on leave from work 2 weeks early and be on modified bed rest. HA!
After a bunch of blood work and one false alarm that sent me to Labor and Delivery Doctor told me that they were going to induce me 2/25/10 at 7 am.
After a dose of medication to soften the cervix mild contractions started but never got stronger. Doctor wanted to start pitocin the next morning at 5 am. Checked me at 1230... nothing not even one darn centimeter. So, he said its time for a c-section.
1:21 friday feb. 26th 2010 Landon James arrived

8lbs 4 oz 20 and 1/2 inches long

Everyone was waiting to see the lil guy in the waiting room.... nana,papa,grandpa, grandma, doe-doe, dowie, uncle perry,danielle(perry's gf), uncle blake... and daddy showed him through the nursery room while I was getting stitched back together.

road trip for Katie, Mom, Dowie, and myself... down to Port Orchard. Doe-doe threw me a baby shower for friends and family in port orchard.. with the help of her friend amanda! it was a blast! Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I know I did!
